Welcome to the Fourth Trimester

Hello friend!

Today we’re talking about the fourth trimester—the tender, intense postpartum season that is just as real and important as pregnancy itself. These early weeks and months can feel beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting, and unfamiliar all at once, and I want you to know right away: you are not alone.

This video will walk you through the many ways to find support, balance, and care after birth. From doulas and lactation consultants to therapy, family help, self-care, and community, this guide is here to remind you that postpartum was never meant to be a solo journey.

Let this guide remind you that the fourth trimester is a season of adjustment, not perfection. Every postpartum experience is different, and there is no “right” way to recover or feel. Give yourself grace as you learn your new normal.

Support is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. Whether it comes from professionals, loved ones, or other moms who understand, you deserve to be held and cared for in this season. Asking for help is not weakness. It is wisdom.

As you move forward, keep love at the center: love for your baby, love for your family, and love for yourself. Take small moments to breathe, rest, and reconnect. You are doing an amazing job—and this is only the beginning of a beautiful new chapter.

Always remember, You are capable of amazing things and You are worthy of your wildest dreams!

Until next time, friends!

XOXO,
Valerie

Reflection Questions

  1. What part of the fourth trimester feels most challenging for me right now—physically, emotionally, or mentally?
  2. What kind of support do I need most in this season, and who could I reach out to for help (family, friends, a doula, a therapist, or a lactation consultant)?
  3. Where am I putting pressure on myself to “bounce back” or do postpartum perfectly, and what would it look like to offer myself more grace instead?
  4. What is one small act of self-care I can practice this week that would help me feel more grounded and supported?
  5. How can I remind myself that I still matter in this season—not just as a parent, but as a whole person deserving of rest, love, and care?
