Today I want to focus on the importance of having a transformation and how you can get there! It is a powerful process of making the changes necessary to become the best version of yourself. I want you to truly understand why this is so important. I want to share what it means to transformation, why you may need one, and what steps you need to take to reach your potential and become your best self! Read on!
What does it mean to have a transformation?
Having a transformation means making the changes necessary to completely change your life. It starts by waking up one day and deciding that enough is enough. You feel ready to make the changes necessary to change your life. You do a complete overhaul of your habits, your daily routine, your relationships, your home environment, you reevaluate your career, your finances, etc., and make sure you are satisfied in ALL of these areas.
One important part of transformation is taking every action necessary to live the long, healthy life you and your loved ones deserve. Without good health, you truly cannot live your life to the fullest. Your health is the most important area to work on in your life. With 70% of the US population overweight or obese, millions of people are experiencing or at risk for many health conditions. The best way to combat this is total lifestyle change. When you decide you are ready to make those changes, you can be sure you are ready to transform!
Having a transformation means learning to seek fulfillment in yourself through self-love and self-care practices. It means taking time for yourself and not seeing it as selfish. When you transform you learn to cultivate a mindset of success and create a plan, goals, and milestones to track your progress. It means choosing change and discomfort over a life standing still. Having a transformation means finding joy and happiness from within and doing everything you can to live a life you love!
How do you know if you need a transformation?
There are so many reasons you may need a transformation. Consider these questions:
- Do you dread waking up in the morning and constantly hit the snooze?
- Do you work for the paycheck and don’t have a job you are passionate about?
- Are you unhappy with your life and don’t live a life of joy and fulfillment?
- Are you bored with your life and don’t feel the spark you used to? Or have you never felt that spark?
- Do you have trouble finding things you enjoy?
- Are you satisfied with your relationships? Are you surrounding yourself with people who help you grow?
- Do you feel good in your skin and feel confident about who you are?
- Are you out of shape and don’t see physical activity becoming a part of your life?
- Are you overweight or obese? Do you suffer from health conditions that you are struggling to treat?
- Are you eating a diet that you know is not good for your health?
- Do you know your purpose? Do you feel you are contributing to the greater good?
Think about your answers to these questions. If a lot of them resonate, it may be time to consider your own transformation!
Why is transformation so important?
Depending on your answers to the above questions, you may not be living your life to the fullest; you may not be living to your potential. The reality is you only get ONE life and you might as well do everything you can to make it one you are proud of. What is the point of living a life half lived? No matter your life circumstances, it is your RIGHT and your RESPONSIBILITY to live a life you love. Transformation means looking within yourself and deciding that regardless of where your life has taken you thus far, you deserve to make the effort to do whatever it takes to love the life you live with everything you have inside you! You deserve to be happy!
You have all the power within yourself to become the best version of yourself! There is no excuse not to shine! Your talents and gifts could change lives and in some ways it is selfish to keep yourself hidden from the world. Your loved ones deserve your best self. YOU deserve your best self! You have nothing to lose in trying to better your life. When you are working towards the greater good, goodness is what you receive. Transforming into a healthier, happier you is the best gift you can give yourself in this world we live in today.
What does transformation look like?
When you are transformed, you begin waking up ready and excited to start the day. You’ve committed to doing a deep dive into all areas and embraced the changes necessary to feel satisfied in those areas. You look forward to moving your body. You eat foods that nourish your body and have committed to a clean diet. You’ve created habits that move you forward rather than choosing to wing it like before. You’ve explored your limiting beliefs and have realized that your mind is your most powerful asset.
You are open to the possibilities and have become more adaptable. You’ve begun saying YES to experiences that feed your soul and take you out of your comfort zone. You are comfortable taking time for yourself and realize the best thing you can give your loved ones is a healthy, happy you. You have a good idea of what your purpose is in life. You actively seek joy and live a life of passion. You are happy and satisfied with the life you have created for yourself.
What are the main components of a transformation?
There are three main things to work on to achieve a successful transformation:
- The first component is Mindset. Having the right state of mind is vital for incorporating all of this change into the fabric of your life. Getting into the right mindset means setting goals and making a plan and achieving milestones along the way. It means becoming disciplined and ready to sustain action in all areas of your life. Transforming means resisting the temptation to deviate from your plan. It means being laser focused on success and finding joy in the journey.
- The second component is Nutrition. Recommitting to your health means feeding your body the nourishment it needs and give you the nutrients and energy you need to sustain peak health. You’ve begun to understand the role of food in your health. You know what is good for you and what is not ideal for maintaining good health. You’ve learned to “eat to live, not live to eat”. You’ve found joy in cooking and have taken an active part in your nourishment.
- The third component of transformation is Fitness. You know you have transformed when you’ve come to enjoy moving your body. You understand why fitness is so important to your health and to your transformation. You have found workout styles that you enjoy and have established a routine you have been able to maintain. You have become conscious of making the active choice (taking the stairs, parking far from the entrance, etc.). Being transformed means feeling good about your body and all it does for you.
What does one need to get started on a transformation journey?
There are a few things you need to do in order to start this transformation journey. First thing you need is a plan. You need clear steps and a roadmap for how you will achieve your goals. You should create milestones along the journey so you see that what you are doing is working. Next, you need discipline and a commitment to the journey. You need sustained motivation to stay on track in the face of temptation or discouragement. Being disciplined means finding the will to work through frustration and hardship. It means being totally vigitant to the cause. Lastly, you need support. You need accountability, encouragement, someone to cheer you on, to lean on in times of discouragement, and someone with whom to celebrate all your wins. With these things you can start this journey confident in your ability to succeed!
